The case of "Ukrainian saboteurs"

Updated: 22.03.2021
Case description:

Formally, these are several separate cases, which are united by the fact that information about the detention of defendants appears through the wide distribution of selective video fragments of staged interrogations with confessions about “subversive activities (espionage, preparation of terrorist acts), allegedly on the instructions of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. The video is published by Russian media with reference to the FSB of the Russian Federation. However, despite the loud statements of the FSB about "saboteurs", in the sentences already passed, the defendants are being brought in under other articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, not related to sabotage or espionage. Several defendants said they were tortured by the FSB of the Russian Federation before filming a video with a "confession"
